TJ Schatz scored 3 goals Wednesday night as Dragon Club defeated Hamden Sport 10-6.

DC opened the scoring on a goal from Schatz at the 11:55 mark and would receive 2 more from defenseman Fred Bianchi and forward Steve Novodor.

Hamden Sport forward Chris Richetelli fired back with a goal with 3:21 left to play in the first, but DC would respond with 2 more of their own after forward Kyle Tyll added a pair within a 30 second span right before the end of the first period to put the score at 5-1.

Schatz scored his second goal of the game 9 seconds into the second period as DC went up by 6. Richetelli then added his second of the night for Hamden Sport to put the score at 6-2.

The next 3 goals would come from DC as forward Paul Dow added a goal, and Todd Forselius scored twice as their team now held a 9-2 lead over Hamden Sport.

With the game appearing out of reach, Hamden Sport fought back and added a pair of goals from defenseman Scott Jason and forward Greg Cassista to cut the lead down to 5. Schatz then scored his third of the game at the 5:04 mark to give DC a 10-4 lead.

Cassista then added a pair to complete the hat-trick and bring the score to 10-6 still in favor of DC as this would be the last goal from Hamden Sport during the game.

Jason Szerszen made 25 saves for Dragon Club, and Joe Woznek made 30 saves for Hamden Sport.
