Southern Connecticut Hockey League

The Southern Connecticut Hockey League is set to begin the Winter 2011 season tonight at 10:15pm when the Connecticut Gators faceoff against the Connecticut Redwings at the Louis Astorino Ice Arena. 

The Gators along with Hamden Sport are 2 new expansion teams entering the SCHL this season. Gators team captain RJ Gates has compiled a roster of players with plenty of skill and depth. Expect the Gators to be a competitive team to play against.

Hamden Sport, lead by team captain Dan Bush, will also be another tough team for it's opponents. With a talented roster, look for this team to be competitive all throughout the season.

Each of the four original teams return ready to play all with new additions to their respective lineups. The Redwings, Mustangs, Chip's and Dragon Club have all recruited some of the area's best players that will only make their team's stronger. With 2 new teams, and more players entering the league, the SCHL is continuing to grow and will be an exciting season for all involved.
