The last game of the SCHL regular season between the CT. Redwings and Dragon Club was a back and forth battle for the 3rd place seed in the playoffs and both teams refused to let up.

Dragon Club would open the scoring on a goal from defenseman Erik Forselius assisted by forwards Sean Whelan and Will Rothfuss. It was all Redwings for the remainder of the first as the team would score 4 unanswered goals. Forwards Brian Roche and Mike Nutcher had a pair each during that stretch to end the period at 4-1.

Roche scored his 3rd of the night for a hat-trick 3 minutes into the second period. Dragon Club forward TJ Schatz scored shortly after and also recorded a hat-trick during the game along with 2 assists. With the scored now 5-2, each team would continue to fire back scoring goals one after another however, the Redwings would remain ahead by 6 goals taking a 10-4 lead heading into the third period.

This is when DC really turned it up a notch and started to rally a comeback by scoring 4 times in a row to cut the deficit down to 2 goals with the score 10-8. Forward Todd Forselius scored 1 goal earlier in the game and then added 3 assists in the third period to help bring his team back in it. Despite their efforts, Redwings forward Ben Castiline would put a stop to their third period run after scoring with just 55 seconds remaining in the game. Schatz would then score his 3rd of the game with 47 seconds left, but by this point it was to late and the Redwings went on to win the game 11-9.

Anthony Avitable made 46 saves for the Redwings, and Jason Szerszen made 27 for Dragon Club. The 3rd place Redwings are set to play the 2nd place New Haven Mustangs on Tuesday night at 10pm in the first semi-final game.
