Southern Connecticut Hockey League

The Ducks prevented a comeback Thursday night and defeated division rival Kodiak Bears 6-5.

Bill Walsh and Frank Butler both scored twice, along with Pat Shortt and Rick Longobardi each adding a goal their own. Ducks forward Tom Merola added two assists during the game.

Kodiak Bears forward Rob Dinicola completed the hat-trick, and teammates Nick DInicola and Chris Cerbino combined for a total of 6 points.

John Palmieri made 23 saves for the Ducks, and Andrew Furbush stopped 29 shots for the Kodiak Bears.
