Rules

Game Play

All players are required to sign and submit a waiver form to the league before playing in their first game.

3 minute warm-up with music.

Three 15 minute periods, stop time.

5 minute 3v3 OT.

Three player shootout if necessary.

8 goal lead running time mercy rule.

2 Referees and 1 scorekeeper per game.

Pro Rules.

Hybrid Icing - Red Line.

No line change allowed for team icing the puck.

Each team is allowed to take one 30 second time-out per game.

Teams not on the ice and lined up at the face-off circle within 5 minutes after the three minute warm up has ended will receive a forfeit.

In the event that a goaltender is running late, teams will be allowed to play with 6 skaters for the first 5 minutes of the game.

Teams without a goaltender on the ice by the 10 minute mark of the 1st period will forfeit the game.

Teams that forfeit receive an automatic loss, 2 points deducted in the standings, and no one on their roster receives credit for a game played. The opposing team receives a win and their entire roster receives credit for a game played despite not appearing in the stats section.

When a goaltender starts the game on time, the only exception to skating with 6 skaters is when a team chooses to pull their goalie during the game, or if a goalie is injured and cannot return to the game.

All rostered skaters are also allowed to play in net with goalie gear if a team's goaltender cannot complete the game due to injury.

Rosters

25 skaters and 4 goalies max per team.

Skaters can only play on one team per Conference each season.

Goalies can play on any team in the league when needed. They are listed as Inactive on a team's roster if another team in the same Conference needs to add them as a fill in for a game. Goalies can then become Active again on their original roster once they have completed the game for which they filled in for on another team in the same Conference.

5 skaters, 1 goalie minimum per team per game to avoid forfeit.

A goalie must be in net to avoid forfeit.

All rostered players are eligible to play in net if none of the team goaltenders are able to play.

Pickup skate will take place if a game is forfeited.

PLAYOFF ELIGIBILITY

All Conferences except A-New Haven - Each player ( excluding goaltenders ) must play in a minimum of 5 out of 12 Regular Season games in order to be eligible for playoffs.

A-New Haven - Each player ( excluding goaltenders ) must play in a minimum of 4 out of 10 Regular Season games in order to be eligible for playoffs.

Forfeits count as a game played for the entire team receiving the win however they will not display in the individual player stats section for each team. For example if a player is listed as having played in 1 game but their team has one win by forfeit that counts as 2 games played for that specific player or players. The players on the team forfeiting the game do not receive credit for a game played.

Players who sustain an injury must be reported to the league by the team captain. Injured players can still receive credit for a game or games to count towards playoff eligibility if they attend their games, check in with the scorekeeper, and remain for the duration of the game while being out of the lineup.

PLAYERS IN MULTIPLE CONFERENCES

Roster limits for players rostered in multiple Conferences are as follows:

A-Conference players rostered on B-Conference team - 5 players max per team.

A-Conference-FFLD players rostered on B-Conference team-FFLD - 5 players max per team.

B-Conference players rostered on C-Conference team - 5 players max per team.

B-Conference-FFLD players rostered on C-Conference-FFLD team - 5 players max per team.

C-Conference players rostered on D-Conference team - 5 players max per team.

C-Conference-FFLD players rostered on D-Conference-FFLD team - 5 players max per team.

Goaltenders are excluded from the roster restriction but can only play down 2 Conferences.

Goaltenders skating out as a player only do not affect the roster restrictions for playing down 2 Conferences.

All players being added to a roster must be submitted and approved by the league before being eligible to play.

ROSTER ADJUSTMENTS

Players injured who are out for the season can be replaced by another player without affecting the roster limit up until the Conference finalized roster cut-off.

All Conferences: Rosters are finalized after a team has played 8 games.

Goaltenders are excluded from the finalized roster cut-off.

Teams that break any of the above mentioned rules will forfeit their game or games if a rule is found to have been broken prior to the league being notified.
